Because there is NO Fresh Water Source for the children of this village, many families rely on dirty canal water that runs through the village – where waterborne illnesses, such as typhoid, cholera, and malaria are the cause of more than half of the deaths in the country every year. Contaminated water is also one of the leading causes of childhood illness and the very high infant death rate in Haiti (57 for every 1000 births) .
Through a generous donation from Seniormark, we were able to build a fresh water station for the children of the school and village. Each month we are able to have a 600 gallon water tank filled with fresh drinking water by a local water service company. The monthly cost to service the tank will be $250, please consider a monthly donation to help offset the costs.
