ONGOING COSTS AND IMMEDIATE NEEDS
Teacher Payroll – Gospel of Grace Academy employs 53 teachers and 18 staff members. In a country where only 20% of the population has a steady paying job, GGA is helping many families.
Over the last three years GGA has built two new classrooms and hired additional teachers to support our growth. The entire staff of Gospel of Grace Academy is Haitian, and includes a Principal, an Assistant Director, a Secretary, 53 Teachers, and 18 others on staff that include Cooks, Housekeeping, Groundskeepers, and Guards. Our monthly staff payroll is $4000. Variable costs include repair and maintenance of our truck and the buildings and school supplies for the teachers and students.
Food for the Children – The cost to feed the 550 children is now over $60,000 per year. This includes a hot meal five days a week, all year; we continue our feeding program when the school is out of session in the summer months. We also provide weekend feedings for over 150 children in the village who do not attend GGA. The cost to feed one child for a year is approximately $110.
